Meet your officers for 2007-08

President Mark Pfleiger
Mark has served as Dean of Occupational Programs at Carl Sandburg College since July 1, 2004. Prior to coming to Carl Sandburg, Mark was the Executive Director of the Fulton Area Career System for ten and one half years. Mark previously worked five years as vocational coordinator for the LaMoine Valley Educational System in Macomb and five years as an Industrial Education and Building Trades instructor for the LaHarpe Community Unit School District. Mark holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Education, a Master's Degree in Industrial Technology, and a certificate in Educational Administration from Western Illinois University.

President-Elect Patti Kozlowski
Patti has served as the Family and Consumer Sciences Department chair at CHS District #94 since 1975. In addition, she is the SkillsUSA Advisor at CHS District $94 and is the Satellite Director for the College of Dupage at West Chicago. Patti has served the Illinois Family and Consumer Science Teachers Association as secretary and most recently as president. She holds a B.S.E. Comprehensive Home Economics Degree and a Masters in Administration and Home Economics from Northern Illinois University, and the College of DuPage Certification Program for Director of Preschool.

Past-President Cindy Stover
Cindy is beginning her first year serving as the Director of the Capital Area Career Center in Springfield. She previously served 13 years as the Director of Lincolnland Technical Education Center and Lincolnland Regional Delivery System administrator. Cindy also served four years as the Special Populations Coordinator and two years as the Director for the Tazewell County Area Education for Employment System. Prior to her positions at Tazewell county, Cindy taught Family and Consumer Science for six years at Pekin Community High School. Cindy has been a member of IACTE for over 20 years and has served as president of both ICTA and ILAVESNP. Cindy holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Home Economics Education from Olivet Nazarene University.

Secretary Valerie Moses-Shaw
Valerie is employed as the Applied Arts and Technology department chair at Downers Grove South High School. Prior to this position, she taught Family and Consumer Science for 13 years after a career in business and human services. She holds a Bachelors degree in Family Studies from Arizona State University, a Master's degree from Wheaton College and teaching and administrative certificates from Northern Illinois University.

Treasurer Susan Hanfland
Susan is currently employed at the Eastern Illinois Education for Employment System #340 and has served as the Director since 1987. Susan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bradley University and a Master of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University and participated in the University of Illinois ' Leadership Development Program in 1986. Susan is an ILAVESNP, ICTA and IACTE member and has served in a variety of leadership roles in her affiliates. In addition Susan had served as a state board member for the Illinois Coalition of Community Services from 1996-2004 and as that organizations treasurer from 1998 to 2004.
