This academy is designed for the new and nearly new CTE teacher.  Topics that will be covered are:  Lesson Plan Development, Teaching Methods, Classroom Management, Special Populations, Inclusion, Diversity, Teaching Virtually, Student Organizations, Resources and Professionalism.

Participants will be encouraged to participate in a year long New Teacher Academy, which includes working with a mentor, quarterly book study and discussion and attending follow up sessions at the IACTE Conference February 18 - 19, 2021 in Normal. IL. A $300 stipend is available to those that participate in the year long academy.  Year-long participants will also be recognized during the IACTE Awards Banquet on February 18, 2021, at the Bloomington Normal Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.

Registration is limited to 40 participants.  Due to ISBE restrictions, this  July academy will be held virtually. 

10 Professional Develop Units will be available.
